چکیده

The development of effective, environmentally friendly catalysts for the Baeyer–Villiger reaction is becoming increasingly important in applied catalysis. In this work, we synthesized a 3D composite consisting silica spheres coated with Mg/Al hydrotalcite much better textural properties than its 2D counterparts. fact, solid outperformed 2D-layered as catalyst cyclic ketones H2O2/benzonitrile oxidant. provided excellent conversion and selectivity; it was also readily filtered off mixture. proposed mechanism, which involves adsorption reactants on surface, consistent catalytic activity results.

Cationic palladium(II) complexes as catalysts for the oxidation of terminal olefins to methyl ketones using hydrogen peroxide

Ligated Pd(II) complexes have been studied for the catalytic oxidation of terminal olefins to their corresponding methyl ketones. The method uses aqueous hydrogen peroxide as the terminal oxidant; a sustainable and readily accessible oxidant. The choice of ligand, counterion and solvent all have a significant effect on catalytic performance and we were able to develop systems which perform well...

Using reduced catalysts for oxidation reactions: mechanistic studies of the "Periana-Catalytica" system for CH4 oxidation.

Designing oxidation catalysts based on CH activation with reduced, low oxidation state species is a seeming dilemma given the proclivity for catalyst deactivation by overoxidation. This dilemma has been recognized in the Shilov system where reduced Pt(II) is used to catalyze methane functionalization. Thus, it is generally accepted that key to replacing Pt(IV) in that system with more practical...

Asymmetric Epoxidation Using Hydrogen Peroxide as Oxidant.

Asymmetric epoxidation is one of the most important transformations in organic synthesis. Although tremendous progress was achieved in this field in the 1980s and 1990s, it is still desirable from both economical and ecological views to develop environmentally friendly catalytic epoxidation with a broad substrate scope. Hydrogen peroxide is a safe and cheap oxidant, which is easy to handle and ...

Silver-palladium catalysts for the direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide.

A series of bimetallic silver-palladium catalysts supported on titania were prepared by wet impregnation and assessed for the direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide, and its subsequent side reactions. The addition of silver to a palladium catalyst was found to significantly decrease hydrogen peroxide productivity and hydrogenation, but crucially increase the rate of decomposition. The decomposit...
